The 2009 Association Autumn visit to Belgium will be from Friday 9 October to Monday 12 October with three nights in Ypres (Ieper) This is an organised visit departing London by coach on the Friday morning with return to London late Monday afternoon. Trip includes travel from pick-up point (London Victoria to West Flanders, Belgium and return to pick-up point (London Victoria), 3 nights hotel accommodation on Bed and Breakfast Basis, lunch on Saturday and Sunday in Ieper (Ypres). This year the cost of the trip will be £240 per person Planned events are as follows.
Free evenings in Ieper (Ypres) Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's commemoration ceremony is organised by Heemkring Liedengehem and plans include a wreath laying ceremony at the Ledegem 40/10 Monument, lunch at De Cycloon, Musical afternoon with "Gracie Lynne", side visits (transport provided) and bar. Scheduled Return to Ypres 5.30pm. Bands in attendance Ledegem Harmonie St. Cecilia and Trommel Corps. If you wish to attend both the IMOS lunch, the Ledegem Commemoration event, and the battlefield tour etc. it is recommended that you make a reservation direct with the Association as soon as possible.
